Metameme Wiki is the working knowledge base for Metameme.

The goal of this wiki is to document infoboons and take apart infohazards. It collects definitions, cases, semantic decompositions, references, and research notes for understanding how ideas become societal forces.

Metameme uses the wiki as a place to make ideas inspectable before they become movements, scandals, institutions, or ruins.

Purpose

Public life needs better instruments for meaning. This wiki supports that work by keeping track of ideas as structured objects: claims, frames, analogies, contradictions, assumptions, risks, and possible social effects.

The work asks:

  • Which ideas are driving us?
  • Which ideas are dead on arrival?
  • Which ideas reduce social derision?
  • Which ideas promote cohesion?

What this wiki documents

Infoboons
Beneficial information patterns: ideas that improve shared understanding and coordination by making better action easier to see.
Infohazards
Information risks created by disseminating, or potentially disseminating, true information that can cause harm or enable an agent to cause harm.

Method

Metameme works with three layers:

  • Semantic representation: take ideas apart into claims, frames, analogies, contradictions, and assumptions.
  • Semantic analysis: apply logic, graph structure, and quantitative methods for analysis.
  • Insights and action: turn semantic models into research, risk signals, and organisational decisions.
